Abdulla Al-Misnad is the deputy CEO of the Qatar Free Zones Authority, where his main focus has been on the establishment of the organization and the commencement of business development activities. Prior to joining the Free Zones Authority, Abdulla was the Director of the Public Projects Department in the Ministry of Finance where his responsibilities included managing the State’s 200 BN USD infrastructure budget.
Sheikha Alanoud bint Hamad Al-Thani was appointed Managing Director of Business Development at the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) Authority in September 2017. Previously, she held the roles of Vice President of Strategic Alliances, CEO Office, and Associate Director of Economic Affairs for the MENA region.
H.E. Sheikh Yousef Abdullah Al-Nasser Al-Sabah served as an Officer of the Kuwait National Guard for 12 years and was promoted several times, becoming Lt Colonel and Director of Foreign Procurement. He attended Infantry & Advanced Intelligence courses at Ft Benning & Ft Huatchuka and was the first International officer to be on Ft Bennings Commandants List of Honor.
Anders Lund Kristensen leads the Maritime & Logistics business pillar at Milaha. He has more than 25 years of experience in the maritime industry. Prior to joining Milaha, he was the CEO of Damco, the logistics arm of the A.P. Moller-Maersk group, in North Europe. Before that, he spent 8 years as regional COO for Maersk Line in the Asia Pacific and North Europe respectively. Throughout his career, he has held a range of commercial and operation leadership positions in the shipping and logistics industry in Denmark, Sweden, The Netherlands, Indonesia, India, China, Singapore, and Qatar.
Dr. R. Seetharaman, Chief Executive Officer of Doha Bank since 2007, is a prominent personality in the banking industry throughout the Middle East, an economic expert who has achieved remarkable success for his contributions to Banking, Trade, Investment, Economics, Environment, Social responsibility, Philanthropy and Charity.
Ahmed AlObaidli leads a team of specialists who work towards growing and diversifying Qatar’s business events sector, a core part of QNTC’s tourism strategy. AlObaidli and his team work to attract world class events to Qatar by maximizing the country’s presence in international expos and associations. In his role, he is also responsible for empowering local sector stakeholders to bid for and stage the highest quality of events by providing them with training and on-the-ground support. He was recently elected to the position Deputy Chairperson of the ICCA Middle East Chapter. Representing Qatar at trade body meetings, AlObaidli helps further promote the destination and its offerings in the MICE space. Al Obaidli is an engineer by training, and previously worked to manage the quality of key projects in Qatar. Prior to joining QNTC in 2013, AlObaidli served in several positions at leading entities in Qatar, including Musheireb Properties, QAPCO and Qatar Petroleum. AlObaidli holds a BEng in Metallurgical and Material Science Engineering from University of Texas, USA.
Dr. Bashar El-Jawhari leads the Industry 4.0, procurement and supply chain competency with a focus on the Resources and Industrials (R&I) industry sector in the ME. He has over 20 years’ experience in localization, supply chain, and operations, strategy development, lean transformation, Six Sigma application, cost reduction, manpower optimization, and productivity improvement.
Dr. Fabian Ezzat Engels is a Senior Partner and Global Head of the Shipping Practice at the strategy consultancy Roland Berger. In his role as Managing Director of Roland Berger Qatar, he is a sparring partner and advisor to Qatar's leading players in the Ports, Shipping, and Logistics ecosystem
Lars Jensen has 19 years of experience from inside the container shipping industry. This covers a combined period of 8 years as Director of driving and developing market intelligence & analysis for Maersk Line, Maersk Logistics and The Containership Company. Additionally, Lars Jensen was CEO of the purely online container carrier Youship from 2007, as well as in charge of developing and implementing digital strategy in Maersk Line.
I Head up Technology Transformation for DHL Global Forwarding MEA driving IT Renewal and refresh of DGF’s operational applications, systems and Digitalization. I possess extensive logistics operations and business intelligence across the Middle East , Sub-Saharan Africa and Europe – Worked for DGF in the DRC, Tanzania, South Africa, Ghana, The Netherlands and the United Arab Emirates. I support startups and young graduates by offering them apprenticeship programs to help get better understanding of both supply chain and digitalization gaps in the Middle East and Africa regions.
Turhan Ozen’s 30-year work experience involves sales, marketing, business development, logistics and supply chain related areas. After graduating from Galatasaray High School, he began studying at the Department of Management at Boğaziçi University. Later, he got his Executive MBA at Koç University. He started his early career as the manager of the sales and logistics departments for the Koç Group’s affiliates in the automotive sector. He worked as the Distribution Operations Group Manager and Operations Director at TNT Logistics, where he had been involved since its establishment. Between 2012 and 2014, he was occupied as CEVA Balkans-Middle East and Africa Region VP of Business Development & Sales. Later in 2015, he was appointed to the position of CEVA Global Health Sector President. He served as the Managing Director of CEVA Logistics Middle East and North Africa region until he joined the Turkish Cargo family in December 2016. He is married with two children.
Based in the Netherlands, Carlina leads the business development in EMEA for TradeLens. She
has worked for IBM for 9 years in different roles, helping clients with their journey to digital
transformation. Notable projects include a digital twin roll out in one of Europe’s biggest ports
and several digitalisation projects in the maritime & oil sector in the Netherlands.
In her free time, she enjoys being with her daughter and husband and they enjoy discovering
new countries, cultures and local food together.
